Since I just took a shot at the reading and listening post, I couldn’t remember for my life if we ever had a playing… and since I couldn’t locate one in a simple search… I decided to start one here and now.
Currently Playing:
Final Fantasy III (DS)
Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA)
Rayman: Ravung Rabbids (Wii)
Mario Kart Wii (duh! Wii)
Mario Super Strikers (Wii)
Super Paper Mario (Wii)
World of Warcraft (Mac)
Digital Chocolate Solitare (Mobile)
Lemmings Return (Mobile)
Also recently finished:
Fable (Mac)
New Super Mario Bros (DS)
You can tell I only have my Nintendo consoles with me, can’t you?
I jump around a lot, but recently it’s been primarily MGS4 and the Battlefield: Bad Company demo. I’ve also been hitting up TF2 again recently. I have Army of Two for the PS3 from gamefly, but I’m not too eager to remove MGS from the playstation just yet.
Still playing GTA4, though I’m losing interest since completing the story.
WiiFit… which is a lot of fun when my back isn’t thrown out.
Super Mario Galaxy… Yeah, I know this one’s a tad older, but give me a break. I’ve only owned the system for a month.
Additional Misc Wiiage: Super C, SMB2, Sonic Spinball
Right now, I’m playing Ace Combat 5 which will continue into Ace Combat 6 for the 360. I’ve just finished Mass Effect, Bioshock and Gears of War. Unfortunately, Gears of War and Bioshock weren’t very story intensive. Don’t get me wrong, they did have a story behind them but it was just basically, here’s a gun, blow the shit out of the enemy while you on your way to here. I think I’m going to be playing through Age of Empires next. I’m feeling a little nostaligic to go back and play a couple ‘90’s games like AoE, AoE 2, and I’ll be getting to AoE 3 in the near future.
I’ve been replaying Shadow of the Colossus and ICO. I’ll probably finally finish Resident Evil 4 after I’m done with those.
Also, it’s amazing how well ICO’s graphics have held up in the seven years since its release. Proof that actual art design is more important than fancy bells and whistles.
Hmm… let’s see… plenty of awesome games I’ve played. Here’s a few of them:
Back-up a dying Windows 2000 server with a buttload of files (Real life)
Transition to IP based telephone system (Real life)
Bachelor’s party with awesome day of paintball (Real life)
Help with Democratic rally and support fundraiser (Real life)
Coordinate with ministry for pictures for website work (Real life)
Attempting to access this site lately, complete with slow loading and internal server error pages! (Internet life)
Sleep when able (Real life) —My favorite game!
Oh you mean “video” games?
Attempting to replay the Warcraft III / FT campaign before WotLK (Mac)
Received a free copy of Gears of War (PC)
Did a raid at the PSN store the other day, so add to the above list:
Wipeout HD
Elefunk
fl0w
PixelJunk: Monsters
All for the PS3. Wipeout is beautiful, fl0w is like the web version, just 100 times better and prettier, Elefunk is like enigmo with elefants (well not quite….) and PJ: Monsters is a typical tower defense game from the people who did Lumines. All well worth the money. Wipeout and fl0w actually feels more high def than most games this generation, no matter how simple and old ideas they build on… because they’re just that pretty.
Try it out. If its the single most awesome gaming experience you’ve ever had then its the same thing.
Basically it gives you a ship with limited shield that increases in speed every 10 seconds and wraps it all in a clever scoring system. I think its the only game that has made me out of breath while sitting down.

Shit that mode is hard. And fun. But man… the speeds you start to get already at zone 25 are nuts… It’s an awesome way to learn the layout of the levels as well. Good fun.
The whole game is pretty hard to me that unfortunately never got to own a full wipeout game before (not out of lack of interest…). There’s a nice help feature that pushes you away from the walls to keep you from dying, but it also slows you down since you can’t take as tight corners with it on… so it’s a neat feat for a newbie like me.
